Description from Goodreads:
**THIS IS A CONTEMPORARY NEW ADULT NOVEL NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE UNDER 17 FOR SEXUAL CONTENT AND LANGUAGE.

Teagan Harper doesn’t have much experience with guys. Her twin brothers have made sure of that. Until one night at a college party she gives them the slip, finding herself in the arms of the most amazing guy she has ever met. Now she's on a mission to find him since she ran from his bed. And forgot to ask his name...

Declan Sage has had control over his entire life. But that is all about to change when the girl who ran out of his bed turns his life upside down. She is about to throw that control out the window. But he’s pretty sure that’s a good thing seeing as she stole his heart...

I'm not going to lie, guys. The cover and title drew me in. SO GORGEOUS. But then there was the fact that this book seemed to be a super cute NA contemporary romance. Honestly, everything about this book screamed that is was something I'd LOVE.

And in the end, I do love this book.

Character Rundown:
Teagan: I love her name. LOVE IT. It's so pretty! But this girl...sometimes I liked her and sometimes I wanted to punch her in the face. She has such a TEMPER. And she was supremely immature most of the time. Luckily, that was a character trait that faded as her character grew, but it took a while and that was bothersome. I liked that she stood up for herself, but hated that she was so whiny sometimes. Spoiled. Overall, it was nice to see her character have a strong personality, though.

Declan: I love his name, too! Makes me think of Degrassi. Honestly, I love all the names in this book. There's even a cool sister named Jessica! BOOM. But anyway, Declan...ahh, man. He is wonderful. Frustrating, but wonderful. Sweet and kind, but he also had his jerk moments. Those in no way, shape, or form outweighed his awesome moments, though. Sure, he wasn't perfect. But he made up for it.

Plot. A NA comtemporary romance. We all know what this means. I have to give it to Amanda, though, she threw in a curveball or two to liven things up. I enjoyed that. Also, this book isn't that long. So it isn't some long, dragging story we've heard a thousand times before. The story is by no means perfect--a majority of the arguments irritated me, but they were over quickly. I loved all the family ties. That kind of stuff always makes me happy. Cadan got on my nerves a little, though. Being ME, I wished he had been nicer to Teagan, despite everything.

Declan + Teagan. THIS COUPLE. This stubborn, stubborn couple. I wanted them to end up together from the moment they met, but goodness gracious, these two. They ARGUE so much. Makes me think of Allie and Noah from The Notebook. Argue all the flipping time, but make up two milliseconds later. I can't deny that this couple is fabulous, though.

The ending. I'm still smiling. And I have a feeling it tied into the next book (or maybe it's a companion? I'm not positive). Either way, AWWWW!

Overall, This Beautiful Thing turned out to be a beautiful story that had me gritting my teeth one second and smiling my face off the next. Definitely worth everything, though. If you enjoy cute love stories, you should definitely try this one out. It's so sweet!

  1. NA contemps are not really my thing, to be honest. But this does sound like a super cute story. Cool review :)
