Description from Goodreads:
For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

I have been freaking out about Frigid for a while now, as many of you know. Especially if you saw my pre-review on Goodreads...hehe. Pretty much from the day this book was announced, I was wanting it. But then the teasers were posted and the cover was revealed and just...more stuff. And I got even MORE excited and was making all kind of grabby hands for it and just AHHH. Then there's the fact that this is another book the ever-fabulous JLA. Needless to say, my hopes were high for this one.

I am SO glad to be able to say that Jen has, yet again, written an awesome sauce book that made me all kinds of happy, and makes me swoon just THINKING about it now. Frigid is New Adult, which I love, completely romantic, and has that mystery aspect to it that makes everything even more interesting. This was a completely fun and swoon-worthy read that I absolutely ADORE.

Character Rundown:
Sydney: You see, I like Sydney. She's the quiet girl who reads and studies and packs way more than she needs to. Which means she's the kind of person I can TOTALLY understand. I love being able to get where characters are coming from. I also enjoyed watching her come out of her shell a bit as the story went on and...things...happened.

Kyler: I have named Kyler Hottie McHotterson. Which is kind of weird, because his name is so freaking great, but I can't help it. He has EARNED the name Hottie McHotterson. He's just...he's just so....AHHHH. I was really glad this one was dual POV so we could see what was going on in his brain. Because, let's be honest, he was a manwhore. I have a love/hate relationship with characters like that. But we were in his mind and understood what was up with him and he was so fantastic. I heart him so much. He is totally my boy. <3

Plot. This book starts off all sweet, innocuous, and swoony. But then things start happening and the story rolls on and...it just builds up and gets better and better. As I said, there's that mystery in there which I loved, that made the story more interesting and just added a little something to make everything BETTER. Frigid was also funny. So, so funny sometimes.

Romance: There is a guy named Hottie McHotterson who is 100% swoon-worthy and plays the freaking guitar. There is DEFINITELY romance all over this book. And this couple...Sydney and Mr. Hotterson...oh, man. I adored seeing them together. They were so great together! And there was no insta-love, which was nice. It was just two people who had known each other forever finally taking a chance at what had always been there. And I LOVELOVELOVED it!

The ending. Awwwwwwww! Mr. Hotterson!

Overall, Frigid was yet another fantastic story from JLA! Certainly one of my favorite New Adult books, it made me laugh and swoon and was completely enjoyable to read--through the romance and the mystery. I honestly do not know how Jen does it, but I never want her to stop!

Kyler Character Interview Question #11
If I were to give you a pet tiger, what would you name him and why? (And yes, the tiger would definitely be a HIM and he is exceedingly adorable, but in a vicious way.)
I would name him Bojangles. I mean, who wouldn't want an exceedingly adorable, but in a vicious way, male tiger named Bojangles?

And question #12 that will be answered tomorrow is:
Ever have those super hero fantasies? What super hero do you wish you could be, even for only one day? Why that hero and those powers?

Be sure to stop by Total Bookaholic tomorrow (7/25) to check out Kyler's answer! Goodness knows I will. :)
